Hi all,
my Tiger is now in a stage where I'm building the front fenders. Unfortunately those fenders on the very early Tiger I are made of the old styl chequered steel. In Germany there is just no way to get this styl of metal plates in scale. So any help will be appreciated very much in finding a source offering such product.
The rautes are about 5 mm wide, just in case some one is intersted. The two fenders plates will be each about 100 x 115 mm.
Many thanks in advance for your attention and best regards
Roland

Hi Roland
Mike Stannard had made several variations of etched, tread plate. Maybe he still has them available and one of his patters would work for you?
I didn't realize you were building such an early production model. Very nice!
Kind regards
Tim

Thank you Tim, I did not know Mike is ( was ) offering those plates. Now I sent him a mail to find out. Yes I'm building a very early one with only 5 cleaning rods, vented exhaust shields, no spare track holders on turret and no smoke dischargers etc.
Thank you very much and best regards , Roland.
