Dremel - Square peg in a round hole.

Post by David Ward »

Hello any Dremel owner.

I have just bought a Dremel flexi drive off Ebay. Should there be some sort of adapter for the square drive of the flexi to fit in the end of the drill?

Hi David
Yes Ive just looked at mine, because I havent used the flexy drive yet.
But there is a little adaptor which replaces the collet assembly.
Its twi thirds hex and one third round, threaded the round end and a square hole the other hex end.
you take off the plastic and to the drill so that the flexy drive threaded plastick end can hold it all in place.
Your collet assembly then goes back on the end of the flexy.
You should be able to get one from the likes of B&Q.
Good luck
Phil

Thank you Phil. One downside of ebay - missing bits!

David,

A word of warning regarding the flexy, be careful of the bend while using the Dremel. I bought a stand for mine so that it could hang down.

You may already know this so please disregard if you do.
