Way cool Dave! Love the flex-cable.

Hi Tim,

The cable will be in Pewter so providing your not too heavy handed you will be able to bend it to whatever shape you want.

Cheers

First class as usual!

Stupid question but will those items be included in the Armortek kit or are they aftermarket items?

Kind regards
Kent

Hi Kent

Yes I can confirm that all of Dave's excellent parts as shown and a great deal more will be included in the kit as standard. I am sure there will be more from Dave here and in Comet section soon!

Great to see new parts for the Comet appearing :D :D

A couple of questions about the light.

Is that effectively the British (Allied :?: ) version of the Notek shaded driving light :?:

If so, how does it work. There's obviously a flap to shield some of the light but should the top be hollow to let a small continuous amount of light out :?:

I guess you can see where I'm heading ....

How much work would be involved to make it operational, as per Tim and Clive's recent efforts :?:

Adrian.

Hi Adrian,

The light came out under the top shrouded section like the Notek. The lower section covered another lense. I am not sure whether it was another light or just gave the option of more light from the main headlight if not in combat? I've also seen lamps without the extra lense cover (more like the American armoured headlight) and some Comets have one of each.

As the bowl is semi hollow I'm sure it could be "eased" to get an LED or Wheat buld in and the cover could be drilled out to allow the light to be operational.

Cheers

Thanks for the clarification Dave. :D

I've been browsing a few walk-around shots and I think it might be easier to make a new shroud from brass tube and sheet, rather than attack your casting.
