Graham,

Your album does not appear on the Gallery main page this means your Gallery account is not yet active which is why your pictures are not showing yet.

Mark has to activate your account unfortunately he will be away until Monday

Just send him a private message to remind him to activate your account when he returns.

Mike

Hi all,

How do I rebuild thumbnails for my photos in my gallery? My computer seems to hang when the message reads "building thumbnails"

Roland,

Assuming you have your account setup for the Gallery and you can login, once logged in, at the very bottom right of the screen is a line which will say "display mode: Roland Mann | guest" and it will be set to guest.

In this mode, if you click on the side bar icon in the main part of the gallery (underneath where it says "Home | Gallery Index", looks like a brick wall with a right facing arrow attached) then you will see the viewing sidebar.

If you now click on your name in the "display mode" line and click on the sidebar icon again, you will get many more options, including the "Add Items" option needed to upload pictures.

Hope this helps.

Adrian.

Dear Adrian, many thanks for your instructions. I'm looked in since the top bar in the gallery says "Log out".

Side bar showing my name in grey not in black as all other names appear.
Klicking on it do not work. Markin it will give no results after hitting the side bar again. Unfortunately I'm lost. Any more ideas ? Thank you and regards

Rolnad

Have you clicked on your name at the bottom of the page, where it says "display mode" ?

If you hover over this line with the mouse, it will highlight in red the option which is NOT selected.

I think your name will always be grey in the side bar, mine seems to be.

I have uploaded two images showing the two different sidebars you should see:

Guest Mode Side Bar: http://s169.photobucket.com/albums/u216 ... guest1.jpg

User Mode Sire Bar: http://s169.photobucket.com/albums/u216 ... =user1.jpg

You need to be in your own album for these to be displayed correctly - there's a "Your Album" link at the top of the page.

Thank's again for your effort Adrian. I have tried different ways now to get to the relevant side bar with the options to put photos in - no way.

What I can see from your examples is a different headding as well including "my album". Can't get to this. It looks there is something else wrong with my gallery. Probably I have to be booked in, registered and logged in some where else hidden in the depth of this software.

I had some problems in the past to get into the forum. Only with help from Gill it worked out. Now still I have problems to send a message in the forum. It needs 2 or 3 trials to place it. The system is just logging me out each time I try. So it looks rather normal to me having problems with my gallery. All I have learned up to now is, it is not my computer and not my operation.

Any way thank you very much. I have to talk to administration to solve the problem. Have a nice weekend and best regards from Germany
