HELP, at least one of the road wheels, the inner, is rubbing up against the hub of its outer mate. Any suggestions on a cure? I do not have a lathe, before its suggested I turn it down.

Help, Ideas needed. The sides were cleaned with Upol system 20, then holes were drilled, the surfaces rubed down and then rivets soldered in, and then all was cleaned back again. 2 weeks later I am getting this surface rust. Ideas on how to get rid of it please.
Love your progress. Could you guide me on how you soldered your rivets in? What equipment did you use ? Is it electronic tin solder with rosin or something else ? Advise truly appreciated .

I just used standard fluxed solder(?) with my dads soldering gun. the gun is its easy 30+ years old. Then I just snipped of the excess with side cutters and sanded back.

Quick update. I had enough track links connected (no rubber pads) for one side so had a bench test, very satisfying to watch the track running around the drive train.
On another note, hate that once the bodywork is on there is no access to the motors. So made the executive decision to make the body work removable. As far as I can tell the only way to do this, without removing the front wheel arches is to remove the deck support at the front, CG1522. Leave the engine bulkhead attached to the body work, end remove the screws holding down the bulkhead. the forward 4 screws are accessible easily, but the rear 4 are a pain, so may well leave them out permanently.
I really want the forward deck and engine bulkhead to remain attached to the body work to keep alignment.
I shall use all the fixing that are hidden.
However I shall fix down the etched deck then drill through from below so that I can use these holes for fixings.
Its still going to be a pain for future maintenance/repair but at least the body work can be removed.
I am open to any other ideas.
