Rest in Peace Steve Winstone
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Steve Winstone.
Steve was an old school craftsman, capable of turning out some truly amazing and detailed parts.
Many of you on the forum would have either known him directly, or would have bought his aftermarket parts, and it is testament to his skills that his parts are on such a large proportion of Armortek models. In the modelling world that's a touching legacy to leave behind.
Rest in peace Steve.

Sad news, I once visited him with my wife when his wife was already sick, but he was very nice and friendly.

My condolences to Steve’s family and the Armortek community. I never had the pleasure of meeting Steve, we only corresponded by email. My thoughts go out to all of you who knew him well and had the pleasure of calling him friend.

Re: Rest in Peace Steve Winstone
When I had started this great hobby, I had immediately begun to know the name of Steve Winstone and was amazed by his great work.
I was fortunate to meet him in person back in 2023 at his house in Essex and felt like I have known him for many years, as the conversation went on for many hours that I almost miss my train back to London.

He also kindly showed me his workshop where all the magic happens.
A true gentle man and with his craftsmanship, pursuing detail and perfection was a great privilege for us.
He will be greatly missed and my sincere condolecence to his family.
Thank you Steve

So sad to hear the news. It was great to chat with him at the Open Days.
His scratch built parts are a work of art and his accessories were superb.

Re: Rest in Peace Steve Winston
Few people get to leave such a fine legacy of craftsmanship and friendship as Steve. His work certainly lives on on my models and it’ll be fitting to remember him for the gentleman he was whenever I look at them. Farewell Steve. Thank you.
