Hi All, just fitting a new heating element ,but have no heat , i placed 2 blue to the black wire and 2 red to the red wire , is this right?? any tips chaps?? thanks in advance ..glen

Hi Glen

This is a soldering iron element. The power goes to the red wires. The blue wires are for a thermostatic control which we dont use. Connect your red wire to one red on the element and your black wire to the other red on the element. Cut off the blue wires on the element.
