Sealing the sponsons.

Post by Adrian Harris »

Experience from Militracks with Steve Stuart's Churchill is that running on wet grass and through mud will result in moisture being carried up under the mudguards and, from there, it will find its way into the sponsons.

So if you intend to use the recesses between the upper and lower track runs to store electronics etc, make sure the sponsons are sealed so that moisture cannot get inside the tank.

Hi Adrian

Thanks for passing this on. I must admit it hadn't occurred to me to seal them against water ingress and I am installing the speakers in them.

Regards
