So many nice Armotrek owners, everybody helping each other, or simply enjoying the chats and driving the models! Great public, even the weather cleared up on Sunday! Looking forward to next year already!
Yup, I had a great time again. And thanks to Dutch bunch for organising, Steve for the fuse, Adrian for his hands, Kian for the T-Shirts and everyone for making this event, despite the occasional rainshowers, so enjoyable!! Hope to see everyone again next year, same place!!
Cheers
Peter
Lord, give me strength to change the things I am able to change.... and patience to endure the things I can not change A bunch of Tiger and Panther variants, a few 88`s and smaler ones like Hetzer, Stug III, etc. and soon a Leo II
Verry nice pictures and video.
Unfortunatly I havn't got a hotel so shortly.
Sandy, whet, dirty Lilly in a whet tent
Next time I take a hotel early
See you at Hausen and Reichshof.
Thanks to Kees, Kian and the team. I thoroughly enjoyed the event and meeting some great people. I hope to be one of the lucky few to be able to attend again next year, and to turn up better prepared! There was a great selection of models and only a couple missing from the Axis range but I'm guessing that there will be a Jagdpanther next year. I couldn't help noticing that the spectators enjoyed watching us as much as the real stuff driving around the museum grounds, great for us as owners and for Armortek. See you next year!
Home safe after a great weekend despite the technical difficulties I had with my Hetzer and it's track throwing habit. Oddly the final fix after one of my axles was found to be totally unscrewed seemed to cure the opposite track coming off the idler all the time. Many thanks to all who assisted over the course of the weekend, it was all worth it in the end! Other than that the show was great, the armortek community was great and the locals were very friendly, even those whose table we shared after our meal on Sunday got rather violently interupted by the weather I'll add some photos and video when I get the time but for now I'll just add this one for which I am indebted to Paul Sparkes of me talking Hetzers with Bruce Compton.
A special thanks to Kees for organising everything..except the weather
Well, after arriving at home yesterday after a very nice weekend, I left the Panther in the car for the next day.
So, after doing the paid job work, I unloaded the tank and started cleaning, an interesting task, as I have not done
it before on this model.
Quite a bit of Overloon mud/muc came out of it....
Another great weekend! If I had thought, my WW1 Mark IV would have been a match for the mud? We had a whole range of weather, capped by the spectacular rainbow in the Van's wing mirror on the way home from Dover. Many thanks to the organizers for setting up this event and to all who contributed to making it happen. And to smoothing out the vagaries of the weather Steve and Fiona
Amazing and enjoyable weekend. Nearly 400 miles of driving door to door and a 2hr ferry Dover/ Dunkirk.
The Jagdtiger ran all weekend without fault. Reilly had a great time shooting people with the gun smoke.
Leopard ran very well on the Saturday until some rubber tyres came off the rims so we parked it up most of Sunday.
I’ll post a few videos on my YouTube when I get some time, link in my signature.
Thanks to all involved, and to making new friends. See you all again soon we hope.
