The next step is to start with the electric and the doors from the turret, but all not ready!

Here are a small update with the electric installations and the first painted and weathered road wheels from the inner side of the tank.

The next step was to glue the bearings into the wheels with Loctite 648 and the rubber rings with Loctite 480.
In the middle of the covers i made a sunk hole and glued in a self made grease nipple. They are made from a cap screw M1,6 with a glued ball of 1,5mm diameter into the head and covered with a washer, so you can see the ball from outside.
At the last fotos you can see the layer between the chipping layers before the yellow layer is painted.

They look excellent. I didn't know you could even get 1.5mm ball bearings

Hi Adrian,
thank you so much for the nice words. The balls in the cap screw head are only the balls with dia of 1,5mm and not the whole ball bearing
But for information : you also can buy bearings with an inner diameter of 1mm!!!!

After the last chipping layer comes the paint of Dunkelgelb in two variations for the Afrikakorps. Then the chipping process is followed at the road wheels. The sprockets have to come next. Some wheels are only looking primed ( the red ones ), but have also the chipping underground. The wheels with the open bearing is only the spare one for placed at the side of the tank. Now the weathering has to be done.

The weathering is done. So the road wheels are ready for mounting.
The idler wheels got the medium layer of the chipping process.

The sprockets are also weathered and all the rubber rings are glued onto the road wheels. Here i had also simulated some fat coming out of the grease nipple a nd the bearings.
