Hi Roy,
Have a look on the web for 1/6 action figurrines. There are a bunch of retailors and also privatly sold ones on ebay. Good brands are Dragon or DID, just to name a few.
For the Famo you should look for a guy in regular uniform, not Panzer black. Camo is also good. Depending on your vehicle either from Luftwaffe, Wehrmacht or Waffen SS. There are several figurines on the market.
In case of more questions, just ask.
Cheers
Peter

Re: Sdkfz Famo
Staggeringly expensive .
Keep looking - you should find an appropriate figure for around £80 on eBay (other auction sites may be available ).

Roy -
I'm not pretending to be an expert on German uniforms . But, based on my limited knowledge and Peter's comments, a quick flit around eBay offers up the following, which I think would fit the bill:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/156168964401
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/364105199593
It's not the accoutrements you're after, it's the basic uniform. And, if it doesn't quite work for your chosen unit, you can always 'kit bash' - there are loads of single bits out there, hats, tunics, badges etc.
The reason some of these figures are outrageosly expensive is that they were designed to be collectors' items, to be kept pristine in their boxes, not to be driven around in a model tank ! So rarity, desirability and release date becomes a factor. You want to find one that's relatively common, and ticks as many of the boxes as possible. Then you can amend it to be unique to you and your ideas.
Good luck !
Chris
