Over the last few years we have brought out a whole series of kits as a direct result of your feedback - kits like the Pershing, JagdPanther, Hetzer, Leopard 2A4, and more recently the Sd Kfz 7, 88mm Flak 36 and the upcoming Challenger 2.

So, in keeping with what has become and annual tradition, here is your opportunity to once again influence our future production plans.

We have added in some "guide pricing" next to the names of the models. This is a rough estimate of the price at the current rates.

Thanks in advance for your input and we look forward to the results.

There doesn't look to be much elevation available before the servo arm hits the bracket :?:

Adrian.
Thanks Adrian and yes, that's one thing to find out ... at worst I can cut out the bracket so it will still be strong enough.

My gun barrel will be in carbon and the weight is hopefully between 300 and 400 grams instead of 1.9kg in metal.

Best regards, Andre

Please don't judge me on a piece of wood in a tank, particularly in a modern one ... :P

The 10mm increment allows for free travel of the servo, so I will not have to reduce the end points in the radio but can use full way.

Cheers, Andre

Hi Andre. Very interesting to see a Carbon gun barrel. Is there any photo to see it in the whole length ?
What is the diameter of the Carbon tube?

With regards,

Hi Lerh,

I have not done the gun barrel yet. The carbon tube is 45/41, meaning 45mm is the outer diameter, just like the CV0473. I will use the original CV0422 adapter to the barrel pivot. CV0424 will be 32/30 carbon tube. CV0425 will be moulded and then also made out of carbon, but I have not done that.

Cheers, Andre

Finishing the smoke system and "glueing" the copper pieces together using a gasket silicone. This allows me to disassemble (vs. soldering) far more easy. It should be smoke-proof and heat resistant. I also have more time to place the pieces together.

Cheers, Andre

Going forward with the wheel / tyre assembly ... as mentionned in the forum, the tyres need more surface to be glued on, otherwise there is a risk of shearing-off the wheel rim. So I make a first attempt with a foam rubber that I cut out of a 2mm sheet. It is slightly too thick, yet with the pressure of the tyre I hope to depress it a little ... first wheel is glued using Loctite 480 ... let's see tomorrow!

Cheers, Andre

Hi Andre,
I'm very interested in the problems associated with fixing the rubber tyres, I'm just about ready to start myself. Have you managed to prove anything with your "Packing Pieces"
Best regards

Hi Eric,

I have not yet tested whether everything will fall apart :|

But I am confident that with the inlets glued in, the tyres should hold firm.

Cheers, Andre

If it helps any i had used a rubber sheet of 1.5mm thickness to fill the wheel well.
Grit blasted the wheel for adhesion, 480 black as bond agent, scotch-brite the rubber to rough up and glue.
With the wheel well the same circumference the tyre now sits across fully.
Allowed a day to cure then the same with the tyre, roughed and 480 to bond.
full contact across both wheel beads and filled well, no issue so far.

Martin.
