My Leopard 2A4 track tension photos

Post by Chang »

Hi, I am really paying some attentions on the track tension. Here are some photos of my Leopard 2A4 (Chassis only , with 82 track links as the real tank).

No test driving yet. So far looks OK (to me  ). Sorry about the painting .....

Right track. The space between the upper track and the bottom of the sponsons is very tight.

Middle section of the right track. See the track pad above the support roller almost touch the sponson. Is it OK?

Hi lerh, I recently asked this question and was told it should be between 10mm to 20mm measured on the middle at the top of the track. I set my tracks similar to yours and it didn’t sound right. I will drive it again with this measurement and let you know how it goes.

Thanks Martin.

Chang, just a quick question, why 82 links not 81 as AT recommend ?

Hi Martin,
81 is Armortek's recommendation. 82 is the number of the real tank. I just wish to find out if 82 is OK too on 1/6 model. If it is not , I'll go down to 81.

With regards,
