Tiger 1 Rear mudguards question?

Hello,i was wondering how people managed with the rear mudguards
I noticed if the lower hex bolts are fitted the mudguards dont sit flush with the bracket at the back hull
If you remove them its flush but i noticed the regardless noth mudguard and hull plates dont line up
Just wondering how people managed this issue apart from
Purchasing 3rd party mudguards

Could you use counter sunk screws ?
Not a tiger fan my self never built one or wanted one so maybe not an answer.
